Ear Piercing Day!

Waiting to get her ears pierced. Monday, April 27th, 2009.
Drawing the purple dot on the earlobe to get them in the right spot.

holding her head still

she did NOT like me holding her down...

Crying before she got it pierced... she hated being held more than the actual piercing

After the first hole was done.

all done... "What did you just do to me mommy?"
She stopped crying even before I got off the chair in the store. She didn't cry anymore after the initial piercing. She's a trooper.

* We did get full permission from our pediatrician before this happened.
She has been so good with them. She hasn't pulled on them, or cried, or fussed much at all. I am cleaning and taking care of them, and they look great! Yes, your comments are welcome!

Photo Shoot

When Caroline was 2 weeks old, my friend Kim took some amazing photos of her so we could send out announcements. Folks, she's 12 weeks old, and it looks like no announcements are getting sent. I had great intentions, but life with two kids is kinda crazy. We are just getting back to some normalcy. However, I do want to show off the photos. Even though this was 10 weeks ago, here is our super model.

12 weeks and rolling over...

Caroline was 12 weeks old yesterday. She also rolled over for the first time. She was on her belly last night and looked as if she was going to try to roll over. I got out the camera and sure enough... she did it! I actually got it on camera! The first video is the first time she rolled over, which anyone can tell from my screaming on the camera saying, "I got it! I got the first time on camera!" I am actually amazed at myself for capturing that moment. We turned her right over, and quickly learned that she is now a pro at rolling over. I got the second roll on camera, too. We think she is quite smart! Enjoy!

ps- you'll notice some new accesory in her ear. That's right, yesterday we got her ears pierced! I'll try to get pics from the big event uploaded soon!

Grandaddy and Grammy Come To Visit!

The Week after Easter, Grandaddy and Grammy (my grandparents) drove their RV from Mississippi to New Mexico, and stopped by to see us for a day. We had such a great time with them. Tobin, of course, got spoiled. Grandaddy and Tony made a gate in our back fence. Grammy and I caught up on our conversations. And we just enjoyed each other and had a great time! Here are some photos to highlight their visit. I'll try to add some videos later!
